Swamp Music Players collaborate with the vivacious singer-songwriter Laura Jacobs on 'Scared To Love' a song that is a blend of modern Urban Country music and retro Cosmic Americana. The song is concerning the difficulties between a man and woman when the man is fearless of everything but true love. It was a very interesting music track to work on using several old school methods of recording. Vocals were performed with Laura Jacobs using a classic tube microphone in a traditional studio. The drums and pedal steel were recorded using lofi vintage equipment while the mixing of the tracks were assembled by Detroit underground artist Steve Greene using a blend of modern and retro gear including a Lowrey organ. This resulted in very long production times and a greater degree of difficulty but we felt it was important to create a soundscape to match Laura's wonderful voice. Music journeyman and Swamp Music Players Evert Pater, Geoff Mason and his twin brother Earl Jr Jackson Black worked very hard on every detail of this song. You will love 'Scared To Love'.
Laura Jacobs is a classically trained vocalist with a notable career in both fashion and acting. Having been born in the heart of the Canadian prairies she has gone on to appear in Daydream Nation with Kat Dennings, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Muck with Kane Hodder, and the last season of iZombie. Laura has recently appeared as a model on the glamorous pages of FHM and Maxim Australia. Laura also runs her own successful and prestigious model management company (LRJ Management). With all these worldly experiences her heart still beckons her back to the childhood days of Country music under the vast skies of the Canadian heartland. With her sultry yet strong vocals and unique writing style she is one to watch in the Country/Americana Music Scene.
